Summer Fellows

Summer Fellows

Founded in 2008, the Georgetown Summer Fellows Program offers undergraduates with an opportunity to enhance their Georgetown experience by providing housing accommodations for 10 weeks while students work an unpaid summer internship in the DC area. In addition, the program sponsors activities throughout the summer, including networking opportunities with alumni, off-campus social events, service opportunities and professional development seminars. Our ideal candidate would look to give back to the Georgetown community and help ensure a similar road to success for future Fellows.

Ten fellows, working general unpaid internships in the DC area, are selected to participate in the program. Housing is provided on campus between May 28th — August 12th (note: dates are tentative). Students are expected to participate in the program for the full 10 weeks. The program also provides a stipend to each fellow. The selection committee will give strong consideration to students with demonstrated high-financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Services.

The program is cosponsored by the Georgetown Scholarship Program, the Georgetown University Student Association, the LGBTQ Resource Center and the Office of Residential Living.
