Gender Affirming Clothing Closet
Our Gender Affirming Clothing Closet (GACC) is now open as of Fall 2025. We recognize that transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming students sometimes find it difficult to shop comfortably due to targeted harassment and cannot feasibly replace large amounts of their clothing to help them express their gender all at once. The purpose of the GACC is to be an on-campus resource for Hoyas looking to explore their gender expression through clothing that is accessible and safe. This is intended to be a student resource that is not designed for the purpose of reselling clothing or creating costumes. Below are different ways that you can interact with our closet inventory.

The Clothing Closet Inventory spreadsheet shows all the clothes we currently have in the GACC. Here you can browse for styles and sizes by category and look at photos of our pieces that are available.
After you find what you’re looking for, write down the ID numbers and come over to the Healey Family Student Center, Office of Student Equity room L128. You can ask the student assistants at the front desk to direct you to the closet. Feel free to try on clothes in or around the OSEI space and place anything you will not be taking back.

You can come visit the Healey Family Student Center, Office of Student Equity and Inclusion during scheduled drop-in times when a student assistant will be present and can open the closet for you. This will allow you to browse all of the clothing and try on what you want at your convenience.
Current drop-in schedule for the Fall semester until December 10th:
Mondays: 4-7pm
Tuesdays: 4-7pm
Wednesdays: 10am-12pm and 4-6pm
Thursdays: 10am-12pm and 4-7pm
Fridays: 10am-12pm

If you wish to take something from our closet discretely you should first browse our Clothing Closet Inventory for pieces you would be interested in.
After you find what you’re looking for, please fill out this form to make a request for your clothing to be packaged and prepared. In about 3-5 days you will get an email letting you know when you can drop by the Healey Family Student Center, Office of Student Equity and Inclusion front desk and pick up your order using your chosen name/pseudonym.
