Office of Student Equity and Inclusion
The Office of Student Equity and Inclusion (OSEI) serves as a principal leader, resource, and support in providing student development, sponsoring programs and events, and engaging in collaboration related to student diversity, equity, and inclusion at Georgetown University. OSEI helps lead equity and inclusion efforts across the Hilltop campus through: Integration, Collaboration and Consultation.
OSEI houses the LGBTQ Resource Center, the Women’s Center, the Center for Multicultural Equity and Access, and the Disability Cultural Center. Drop by the OSEI Student Lounge in the New South Garden Level, open Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.
Women’s Center
The Women’s Center supports and empowers students at Georgetown. Women, non-binary, and trans students are often marginalized on campus – historically, intentionally, and unintentionally. We seek to create a more equitable campus for a more expansive notion of gender and gender roles. We unequivocally affirm that trans women are women. We welcome people of all gender identities who support the mission of gender equity. The Women’s Center provides free and confidential pregnancy tests and period products (tampons, pads, menstrual cups), available in the OSEI bathroom. The staff is semi-confidential Title IX reporting space, and can assist in navigating sexual assault reporting, provide resources, and connect you with campus partners. The Women’s Center can be contacted at womenscenter@georgetown.edu or found in the New South Garden Level OSEI Suite.
Center for Multicultural Equity and Access
The Center for Multicultural Equity and Access (CMEA) enhances the education of students historically denied access to GU because of race, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, and other marginalized identities. To live out this mission, CMEA provides a variety of intentional and culturally relevant programming, services, and opportunities to foster student success inside and outside of the classroom. CMEA can be contacted at cmea@georgetown.edu or found in the New South Garden Level OSEI Suite.
Disability Cultural Center
The Disability Cultural Center (DCC) celebrates disability as an intersectional identity through the transformative power of the arts, sciences, and community. In keeping with our Jesuit values, the DCC calls on Georgetown University to foster a culture of access inside and outside of the classroom that embraces non-apparent and apparent disabilities as vital to the vibrant diversity of humanity. The DCC can be contacted at disabilityculture@georgetown.edu or found in the New South Garden Level OSEI Suite.
